FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What forms of payment do you accept?
Online, we accept Switch/Maestro, Visa Delta debit cards, Visa and Mastercard credit cards. We do not accept Solo Visa Electron and American Express.

Will you retain my personal or credit card details?
Staffordshire Gifts/Distinctive Gifts will not retain your credit card details after your order has been processed. We will retain your email and postal address details unless you opt out at the time of placing your order. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further details.

How safe is shopping online with Staffordshire Gifts/Distinctive Gifts?
This site uses the Sagepay payment system. The Sagepay payment system uses a combination of established and innovative techniques to ensure the security and integrity of all sensitive data. Our internet facing web servers are certified by SSL, this ensures that no third parties can impersonate Sagepay to obtain secure information.

How will I know if my order has been placed successfully?
Once your order has been submitted successfully you will receive an automated confirmation email with your order details and an order number.

Can I send orders to a different address?
Yes, if your delivery address differs from your home address, for example if you would like to send something to a friend or have the item delivered to your work address, please fill out the delivery address section when placing your order. If this section is left blank, we will ship to your home address.

How will my order be processed if some of the items are not available?
Items available for pre-order or temporarily out of stock will be despatched separately with no additional charge made for postage & packing. If you have any queries or to discuss your order, please telephone the Staffordshire Gifts/Distinctive Gifts Supplier.

Do you accept international orders?
Yes we do. All payments will be taken in Pounds Sterling. Shipping costs are calculated during checkout. Purchases and refunds use the exchagne rate used by our payment gateway Sage Pay.

Can I specify a delivery date when ordering?
Unfortunately you cannot request a delivery date as the majority of our packages are sent via Royal Mail post rather than a courier service and they do not offer this service.

How do I modify an order?
You can view your shopping basket at any time by clicking on View Basket in the header. Here you can add and delete products or change quantities before moving through the checkout process.

Once you have placed your order with us you cannot amend any details. If details change once you have confirmed your order you will need to call us the Staffordshire Gifts/Distinctive Gifts supplier to make adjustments. We will do our best to accommodate these changes for you.

Is VAT included in the prices?
VAT is included in the price of our goods for UK orders VAT is currently 20%

When will my card be debited?
Your credit or debit card will be charged at the time you place your order.

Why haven't I received an order acknowledgement email?
If you have not received an order acknowledgement email then please email sales@staffordshiregifts.org.uk. We will check to ensure that your order has been received in full and confirm it with you.

Is a receipt sent with my order?
Yes, you will receive a receipt detailing the items, p&p and VAT with your order.

How much do you charge for postage?
All postage charges are based on weight and location based on Royal Mail. You will see a summary of the charge before and as you checkout.

The majority of our packages are sent either standard, tracked or special delivery using Royal Mail however if you are not at home when the item is delivered and it will not fit through your letter box, then a card will be left for you to either ask you to phone to arrange an alternative delivery or to collect it from a royal mail or courier company collection centre.

How long will my order take to arrive?
Staffordshire Gifts/Distinctive Gifts suppliers aim to deliver goods to you as fast as possible between 1 and 7 working days but we cannot give an exact delivery date. We also may deliver the goods in several consignments but will not charge any extra delivery for this. If you need a specific ITEM VERY QUICKLY PLEASE CONTACT THE GIFT SUPPLIER who sells the item - their contact details will be shown on the site and they will do their best to accommodate your requirements.

For European orders, please allow up to 7 working days, for the rest of the world, please allow up to 12 working days. Please bear in mind that items are sometimes delayed in customs, which is beyond our control.

How will I know when my order has been sent?
Once your order has been dispatched you will receive an automated email to confirm this.

What if I change my mind or have made a mistake on my web order?
If you have already completed your order please email us as soon as possible so we can amend the order.

What is your online return policy?
Staffordshire Gifts/Distinctive Gifts want you to be happy with your purchase. If you are unhappy with any item or if it has been damaged in transit, or becomes faulty please return it in its original packaging to the Staffordshire Gifts/Distinctive Gifts Supplier.

What happens if an item on my order is out of stock?
All Staffordshire Gifts/Distinctive Gifts suppliers aim to keep the site updated on stock levels however due to the range of products available it’s inevitable some items we will be temporarily out of stock, in this case you will be contacted if the delay is likely to exceed 7 working days.  If for reasons beyond our control we are no longer able to supply an item you have ordered you will be issued with a full refund.

Do you have a gift wrapping service?
Sorry but we do not currently offer a gift wrapping service.

How do I change my account details?
You can modify or update your account details by logging in via the 'Sign In' section on the right hand side of the web page and then clicking 'My Account' to edit your details.

How do I log in and out?
You can log in to your account by entering your email address and password in the 'Sign in’ section on the right hand side of the web page. Once logged in it will welcome you and display your name.

To log out, simply click the 'Sign Out' link in the My Account' box on the right hand side of the web page.

Can I make changes to my order?
Once you have placed your order with us you cannot amend any details. If details change once you have confirmed your order you will need to contact the Staffordshire Gifts/Distinctive Gifts supplier directly to make adjustments. Their details will be clearly shown and the will do our best to accommodate these changes for you.

How can I be sure that my account details are secure?
At Staffordshire Gifts/Distinctive Gifts you can shop with 100% confidence knowing that your name, address, credit card details, and other information are all completely safe.

We use the best available software to encrypt your personal information so no one else has access to it. Using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption, the details you enter can only be decoded by Staffordshire Gifts/Distinctive Gifts. When you are on a secure part of our site, you will see the "padlock" icon in your browser, this confirms that information you send will be in a secure format.

You should keep your login name and password confidential and if necessary change this often to avoid anyone else using your account.

The password will enable you to place orders and to access all of our services. We will also personalise the site for your next visit so you only need to enter the information once. Your password can be your choice of numbers and/or letters.

Forgotten your password?
Click here and enter your email address - a new password will be emailed to you. Once you have logged in using this, you can change your password in your account to a memorable word or combination of numbers and letters.

Why have I received some but not all of my order?
Your consignment may have been split into parts in order to get it to you quickly, in which case you should receive the second part very soon. If not then please contact the Staffordshire Gifts/Distinctive Gifts Supplier.

If one of the items on your order is temporarily out of stock, we send the in stock items on ahead so that you will receive them quickly. When we receive the out of stock item we will send it on to you at no extra charge.
